The environment at New Life did more than provide me with an education, it nurtured my faith. The integration of biblical truth into every subject helped me understand that God’s Word speaks into all areas of life. Teachers modeled Christian character, showing me what it meant to live with integrity, compassion, and discipline. Daily prayer, Bible lessons, and mentoring reminded me that God had a calling and purpose for my life.
I am deeply grateful for the role New Life Christian School played in shaping my journey. What began as a struggling teenager walking into a new school has become a lifelong calling to leadership and ministry. The investment of teachers, staff, and fellow students continues to ripple outward in the ministry God has entrusted to me today.

I am currently taking up HVAC at Alfred State College. So far, I've learned about most plumbing applications, and in the future I will be taught HVAC and some applications of the Electrical workings of most houses and building complexes. In the future, I am hoping to get a job with a company like Mazza, and apply my knowledge in the workforce. My main goal, however, is to start my own private business in plumbing and HVAC. NLCS has greatly helped me to properly navigate throughout my college experiences. I was taught true christian values, which help me to steer myself away from the temptations of college and keep my focus on God and my career. I also have the opportunity, because of the understanding I gained from my education at New Life, to share and witness the love of Jesus Christ to all my peers here at Alfred State.

NLCS became, in many ways, my ‘secret place’ with God — a safe haven where I could truly grow in His presence and learn what it means to live out His love.

New Life Christian School will always be more than just a school to me. It became my family. I started out in the 5th grade not knowing a word of English, but the teachers patiently taught me, believed in me, and walked with me all the way until I graduated. They gave me a community I never imagined I could have, one that still checks in on me and my family and welcomes me back like a second home every time I visit. Besides an education, New Life instilled in me a passion for Jesus and a heart to share the gospel. I didn’t just earn a diploma there. I gained a lifelong family and foundation that continues to shape who I am today.

New Life Christian School played a life-changing role in my life’s journey. They brought me from Brazil to the United States and gave me not just an education, but a home and a new family. The school and its community supported me through high school and college, guiding me every step of the way. I truly don’t know where I would be without their love, encouragement, and dedication. Today, I’m a college graduate, working as an engineer, and blessed with a wonderful wife. None of this would have been possible without the foundation and support I received from New Life.

This summer I graduated from the Alfred State Nursing School and began my career as an RN in the Emergency Department at St. James Hospital. I am so excited to find out what God has in store for me along the journey through my nursing career.
New Life gave me the tools not only to obtain success but to find fulfillment in my daily life by investing in relationships, serving others, and seeking first the Kingdom. I would not be where I am today without the support and encouragement I’ve received from my New Life family throughout my schooling there and beyond.

I became a nurse because I’ve always had a strong desire to help others and make a difference in people’s lives. Nursing allows me to combine my compassion with knowledge to care for patients not only physically, but emotionally as well. I’ve always been drawn to the idea of being there for people during their most vulnerable moments and helping them heal, find comfort, and regain strength.
My high school played a big part in helping me reach this goal. Through my teachers’ encouragement and volunteer opportunities, I discovered my passion for healthcare and service. The support I received in developing my academic skills, teamwork, and leadership gave me confidence to pursue nursing and succeed in such a meaningful career.
