Alumni Testimonial

New Life Christian School alumni share how their time here shaped their faith, character, and future. These stories highlight the lasting impact of a Christ-centered education.

James Brennan

When I enrolled at New Life Christian School at sixteen years old, I was a struggling teenager. I carried with me questions about purpose, and belonging, and I was uncertain of the direction my life would take. In many ways, I was at a crossroads, vulnerable to the influences of the world, yet searching for a foundation that could anchor me. New Life Christian School became that foundation.

Academic and Spiritual Preparation

The environment at New Life did more than provide me with an education, it nurtured my faith. The integration of biblical truth into every subject helped me understand that God’s Word speaks into all areas of life. Teachers modeled Christian character, showing me what it meant to live with integrity, compassion, and discipline. Daily prayer, Bible lessons, and mentoring reminded me that God had a calling and purpose for my life.

Personal Growth and Community

At a time when I could have easily drifted, the care and accountability of the New Life community gave me stability. I was challenged to think beyond myself, to see how my gifts could serve others, and to recognize that faith is rooted in humility and service. That environment taught me to lean on Christ when life felt overwhelming and to persevere when challenges came.

Preparation for Ministry

Today, I serve in full-time ministry and leadership with The Salvation Army. Every day I draw upon lessons first instilled in me during my years at New Life: the discipline of daily faith, the courage to lead with conviction, and the commitment to serve others with Christlike love. The seeds planted in those formative years have borne fruit in a life dedicated to advancing the mission of the gospel.

Conclusion

I am deeply grateful for the role New Life Christian School played in shaping my journey. What began as a struggling teenager walking into a new school has become a lifelong calling to leadership and ministry. The investment of teachers, staff, and fellow students continues to ripple outward in the ministry God has entrusted to me today.
